Being fully immersed in the art quilt community, this lecture shares my friendly, real-life journey from painter and art teacher to diving headfirst into art quilting in retirement. Along the way, I’ll talk about how that deep community connection helped me step into the larger art world.

About the Event
Margaret Abramshe has been a working artist for 40 years. She received a BFA at the University of Colorado, a degree in Art Education from Florida International University and a Master’s from the University of Northern Colorado. Margaret works in her studio, creates workshops, and lectures.
Margaret’s artwork has been juried into numerous exhibitions locally, nationally and internationally.
Her most recent solo exhibition “Merging Lines” featured 25 figurative works at the St. George Art Museum. In 2024 and 2025 her work was juried into the Utah Salon at the Springville Museum and Utah Statewide Annual Exhibition of the most talented artists working in Utah. She was also included in the Presidents Art Show, SLCC Eccles Art Gallery in Salt Lake City, the 38th Spiritual & Religious Art of Utah exhibit, and Statewide Annual, Ogden Center for the Arts. Her work is included in Interpretations at the Visions Art Museum in San Diego.…
