About the Event
Linda's art quilt series, “Honoring My Father,” honors the 100th anniversary of her father’s birth and his life up to the day he was buried in 2009. It is inspired by images from his life that he took or were taken of him, his story, and three versions of photos of her parents’ Northern Minnesota farm on the cold December day of his funeral. Linda will talk about how a series is something that needs to begin as an internal inspiration and how it explodes from there.
