About the Event
Keetje Abbenhuis will discuss her path to Color Improvisations 3 and how it led to defining her voice as an artist.
Keetje is a Seattle artist. In high school, she began expressing ideas in fabric; making large banners that hung in the school, a nearby church, and a Seattle theater. She attended art school in her early 20s. She later earned a degree in English Literature. Most of her work life was spent in the highly regulated medical device industry where rules and procedures were the mainstay of daily activities. This experience influences her approach to her art. Keetje began studying with Nancy Crow in the mid 1990s; an association instrumental in her artistic development.
